2 Supervision and Management
of Acceptance

2.0.1 The Ministry of Water Resources is in charge of the
guidance on the supervision and management of the acceptances
of nationwide small hydropower projects. According to pre­
scribed limits of authority, the water administrative authorities
of local people's governments at or above county level are re­
sponsible for supervision and management of acceptance of small
hydropower project construction in their administrative areas.
2. 0. 2 According to the provisions of different levels of admin­
istration for local small hydropower projects, the water adminis­
trative authorities of local people's governments at all levels shall
take charge of or participate in the government acceptances of
small hydropower projects in their administrative areas, and un­
dertake the supervision and management for the acceptance con­
ducted by the legal person.
2. 0. 3 The approaches by which acceptances are supervised and
managed shall include site inspection, organizing or participating
in acceptance activities, filing acceptance work plan and output
documents, etc.
If necessary, water administrative authorities and supervi­
sion and management organization for legal person acceptances
shall take on-site inspections to the constructed projects and
check the progress in the acceptance, and also make an investiga­
tion whenever any offence is reported.
