1 General Provisions
1.0.1 The main objectives of this code are to strength the
management, ensure acceptance quality, systematize and stand-
ardize the acceptances in the small hydropower station construc-
tion.
1. 0. 2 This code is applicable to the acceptance of the construc-
tion of small hydropower stations with a total installed capacity
ranging from 1. 0 MW to 50 MW ( hereinafter referred to as
small hydropower project). It may be used as reference for the
acceptance of the extension of small hydropower stations as well
as the construction of hydropower stations under 1. 0 MW.
1. 0. 3 According to the project plan and acceptance procedures,
the acceptance of small hydropower projects can be classified into
the acceptance of sub-unit projects, the acceptance of unit pro-
jects, the acceptance of contracted project completion, the stage
acceptance ( including the acceptance of turbine-generator star-
tup) , the special item acceptance and the completion acceptance.
The acceptances shall be interconnected with each other and rep-
etition shall be avoided.
According to the presiding organization, the acceptances of
small hydropower projects can be classified as legal person ac-
ceptances and government acceptances. The legal person accept-
ances shall include the acceptance of sub-unit projects, the ac-
ceptance of unit projects, the acceptance of contracted project
completion and the acceptance of the rest turbine-generator star-
tup, while the government acceptances shall include the stage ac-
ceptance (including the acceptance of first and last turbine-gen-
