Tube wells and pumping stations郾 A total of 4郾 872 million tube wells, with a daily
water abstraction capacity equal or larger than 20 m3 or an inner diameter larger
than 200 mm, were employed for water supply in the whole country郾 A total of
91郯 820 pumping stations that have an installed flow of 1 m3 / s or installed capacity
above 50 kW were in operation, among which 371 categorized as larger pumping
stations, 4郯 200 medium鄄size and 87郯 249 small size pumping stations郾

Rural hydropower and electrification郾 By the end of 2016, hydropower stations
built in rural areas totaled 47郯 529, with an installed capacity of 77郾 91 million kW,
accounting for 23郾 5% of the national total郾 The annual power generation by these
hydropower stations reached to 268郾 2 billion kWh, accounting for 22郾 7% of the
national total郾

Soil and water conservation郾 By the end of 2016, the restored eroded areas
reached 1郾 204 million km2 ; protected area for ecological restoration accumulated to
816郯 000 km2郾 Dynamic monitoring for soil and water loss had been conducted in 19
key areas of national importance, 16 protection and control areas of national
