The servers of varied kinds equipped by water resources departments at or above
the provincial level reached 5郯 474, including 1郯 413 internet server, 4郯 061 servers
outside the web郾 The counterpart net鄄connected computers of various kinds
reached 91郯 384, among which 19郯 253 for internet and 72郯 131 for outer net郾 The
total structured data stored in database of water resources departments at or above
provincial level reached 985郯 037 GB and the total unstructured data reached
661郯 097 GB郾 Currently, there are 1郯 008 small satellite station, 4郯 275 other satellite
networks, 46 portable satellite stations, 2郯 487 wireless broadband access terminals
and 7郯 160 cluster communication terminals in operation郾 A total of 181郯 161
gathering points were available for water departments at or above the provincial
level to receive various kinds of water鄄related information, among which 144郯 693
points were automatic郾

IV. Water Resources Utilization and Protection

The national water availability in 2016 was 3郯 246郾 64 billion m3 , 17郾 1% more than
normal years郾 Mean annual precipitation was 730郾 0 mm that was 13郾 6% more than
the normal years and 10郾 5% more than the year before郾 By the end of 2016, total
water storage of 639 large reservoirs reached 350郾 35 billion m3 , 3郾 68 billion m3 less
compared with that of the year before; total water storage of 3郯 410 medium鄄size
reservoirs were 45郾 02 billion m3 , 0郾 39 billion m3 less than that in early 2016郾

In 2016, the total water supply amounted to 604郾 02 billion m3 , among which 81郾 3%
came from surface water, 17郾 5% from underground water and 1郾 2% from other
water sources郾 The total water consumption amounted to 604郾 02 billion m3 , of
which domestic use amounted to 82郾 16 billion m3 or 13郾 6% of the total; industrial
use 130郾 8 billion m3 or 21郾 6% of the total; agricultural water use 376郾 8 billion m3 or
62郾 4% of the total; environmental water use of 14郾 26 billion m3 or 2郾 4% of the
total郾 Comparing to that of the year before, water consumption reduced by 6郾 3
