International cooperation郾 A total of 70 multilateral cooperation and exchange
activities were successfully conducted, with 3 bilateral cooperation agreement
signed郾 Under the fixed mechanism for bilateral exchange of government agencies,
7 meetings were organized and held郾 Two projects with loans borrowed from
international financial organizations such as the World Bank are undertaking, with a
total borrowing of 280 million U S dollars郾 The World Bank has completed appraisal
of Key Plain and Low鄄lying Land Harness in Huai River Basin project with a loan
borrowing of 200 million US dollars郾 There were 4 governmental cooperation
projects under implementation, 2 special projects for international cooperation and
science and technology at national level got approval, having a funding of 5郾 40
million Yuan郾 There were 9 special projects for international cooperation and science
and technology at national level under implementation, with a funding of 21郾 01
million Yuan郾

VII. Current Status of Water Sector

Employees and salaries郾 In 2015, the employees of water sector were totaled
0郾 974 million, a 2郾 6% decrease comparing to that the year before郾 Of which the
employees with long鄄term post amounted to 0郾 947 million, a 2郾 5% decrease郾 In
the employees with long鄄term post, the staff working in the agencies directly under
the Ministry of Water Resources was 66郯 000, a 1郾 6% decrease over the year
before; the staff working in local agencies was 0郾 881 million, a 2郾 6% decrease郾
The total salary for the employees with long鄄term post in the whole country was
52郾 94 billion Yuan, and the average salary per employee with long鄄term post was
55郯 870 Yuan郾
