cementing material strength and masonry surface shall be
in accordance with the regulations in Article 2 8 10 of this
specificaion.
4 The masonry shall be constructed by blocks according to the
design requirement. Within the same block, the bricklaying of the
dam shall rise up integrally and continuously layer by layer. The level
difference between adjacent masonry should be less than 1 5m, and
shall be in the shape of steps according to the stone size and the re⁃
quirement of staggered joints for upper and lower layers.
3 2 2 The surface stones and some structural details shall meet the
following requirements:
1 The stone⁃laying of the dam surface and insides should rise at
the same rate. For conditions with different rates, the rise level differ⁃
ence shoule be less than 1 0m, and the joint surface shall be treated
as a vertical construction joint. Flaky stone padding under the surface
stone is not allowed.
2 When rough surface of inside stone should be bonded to con⁃
crete.
3 If the dam outer surface is a vertical plane, coarse work
stone should be used for the surface, and the construction form should
be a staggered T⁃shaped. When the dam surface is a downward
inclined plane, irregular stones should be used. If the inclined plane
can be in the form of steps, coarse work stone can also be used and
laid horizontally.
4 The head curve and ogee section of the spillway surface
should be constructed by irragular stones with high strength⁃grade ce⁃
ment mortar. The arch crown of the gallery should be built with vous⁃
soirs. If coarse work stones are used, the width of the joints can be
adjusted to form the arch.
5 For arch dam and multiple arch dam, if coarse work stones
