in Heilongjiang Province started construction郾 Water Diversion from Yangtze River to
Huai River in Anhui Province, Water Diversion from Han River to Wei River, Water

Supply to North of Hubei Province, Phase鄄II Tao River Water Diversion in Gansu
Province have accelerated construction郾 The main schemes of Yellow River
Diversion to Baiyangdian Wetlands in Hebei Province were completed for trial
operation郾 A total of 76 river鄄lake connecting systems were constructed that could
improve connectivity of about 230 rivers (lakes or reservoirs) 郾

Irrigation, drainage and rural water supply郾 The completed investment for
strengthening and improving safe drinking water supply reached 36郾 86 billion
Yuan, among which 3郾 7 billion Yuan from Central Government subsidy, with a
beneficial population of 55郾 00 million of which 5郾 65 million listed in national plan
