no abnormal heating.
2) When the headstock gear runs to the limit positions of the stroke, the control
switch can send signals and cut off the power automatically to stop running.
3) When all the mechanical parts are running, there shall be no impact sound or oth⁃
er abnormal sounds. The steel wire rope shall not rub other parts in any position.
4) When releasing the brake, the brake shoe shall be totally opened. The gap be⁃
tween the brake shoe and the brake wheel shall range from 0 5mm to1 0mm.
5) For rapid sluice gate headstock gear, when using direct current to release the
brake, the brake⁃release current value shall be larger than the nominal maximum
current value. When the brake is released for 2min, the magnet coil temperature
shall be no higher than 100℃ .
6) All the bearings and gears shall be well lubricated and the bearing temperature
shall be no higher than 65℃ .
3 Load tests. The hoisting tests should be done at the design water head. The working
gates that shall be opened and closed in flowing water or emergency gates that shall be opened
in still water and closed in flowing water shall be closed two times in flowing water. For rapid
sluice gates headstock gear, rapid closing tests along the whole stroke shall be done according
to design requirements or special research. During the load tests, the following electrical and
mechanical parts shall be checked:
1) When the load test is being done, the degree of unbalance of the electric motor s
three⁃phase current shall be no larger than ± 10% and the electrical equipment
shall have no abnormal heating. All the protection devices and signals shall be ac⁃
curate and reliable.
2) All mechanical parts shall have no impact sound when running and the open gear s
meshing state shall be checked to see if it can meet relevant requirements.
3) The brake shall not slip and have no burning smell or smoke.
4) Record the opening and closing forces displayed by the load control device when
the sluice gate is opening or closing. Plot the relation curves between opening and
closing forces and the stroke.
5) The headstock gear s rapid closing time shall meet the design requirements and the
maximum speed of rapid closing should not be larger than 5m/ min. The maximum
rotational speed of electric motor (or speed governor) shall be no larger than twice
its rated value. The temperature of the centrifugal governor rubbing surface shall
be no higher than 200℃ .
4 After the trial operation, each part of the mechanism shall have no fracture, perma⁃
nent deformation, loose connection or damage. The electrical components shall have no
