Hydrology and informationization郾 By the end of 2015, the number of
hydrological stations of all kinds increased to 99郯 575 in the whole country,
including 3郯 151 national basic hydrologic stations, 2郯 555 special hydrologic
stations, 11郯 180 gauging stations, 49郯 403 precipitation stations, 14 evaporation
stations, 1郯 856 soil moisture monitoring stations, 14郯 560 water quality stations,
16郯 800 groundwater monitoring stations and 56 experimental stations郾 There were
45郯 863 various kinds of hydrological monitoring stations that provide hydrological
information to flood control commanding headquarters at and above the county
level; 1郯 247 various kinds of hydrological monitoring stations that provide forecast
information郾 A total of 311 water environment monitoring centers ( sub鄄centers) put
into operation郾 Water quality of nearly all major rivers, lakes and reservoirs in China
are monitored郾 Water ecology monitoring has been initiated郾

The servers of varied kinds installed in the water resources departments at or above
the provincial level reached 4郯 567, among which internet server 1郯 311, servers
outside the web 3郯 256郾 There were 84郯 503 counterpart net鄄connected computers of
various kinds, among which 17郯 827 for inter net and 66郯 676 for outer net郾 The
