Water scenic spots. There were 423 water scenic spots were approved at
national level, among which 237 were reservoir recreation areas, 79 were natural
rivers and lakes, 44 were urban rivers and lakes, 28 were wetlands, 20 were
irrigation districts, and 15 were water and soil conservation areas.
Notes:
1. The data in this bulletin do not include those of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
2. Parts data of water supply and utilization are sourced from 2010 China Water
Resources Bulletin.
3. Effective irrigated area is based on the number of irrigation districts at 10,000 mu
and above and its irrigated area.
4. Statistics of rural hydropower is an installed capacity of 50,000 kW
and < 50,000 kW.
