ing at both sides of the geomembranes rises by one layer.
Any abnormalities, if present, shall be handled in time.
Every time the dam height rises by 2-4m, test pits along
both sides of the geomembranes shall be dug to inspect the
planeness, folds, bursting, broken lines, missing sews,
joint cracks and so on. If the situation is serious, remedial
measures shall be taken in a timely way. The depth of the
test pit shall be 1-1 5m, and there shall be no less than
2⁃4 test pits arranged along the dam axis.
3) Construction notes shall be taken well and data of the con⁃
struction quality inspection, temperature, various raw
materials tests and quality accident reports shall be
properly kept.
4) Subdivided projects such as pavement of geomembranes
and peripheral connections shall be accepted in the con⁃
struction process.
3 1 6 The asphaltic concrete core wall or sloping core wall shall be
in accordance with SD 220
3 1 7 The construction of the dam body shall comply with the fol⁃
lowing requirements:
1 When filling materials are transported up to the dam by vehi⁃
cles, the sand gravel and rockfill materials shall be unloaded by the
method of laying in reverse direction or combined method (laying in
reverse direction first and then advancing).
2 After the dam materials are filled, sufficient water shall be
sprinkled on the surface. The amount of sprinkling water shall be
about 15% ⁃ 25% for sand gravel, and 12% ⁃ 30% for rockfill
material (including stone ballast).
3 The filling materials shall be leveled, and the thickness shall
be controlled strictly.
