3) Transport of aggregate is inconvenient or uneconomical in
case of a dispersed aggregate borrow area.
5 Total reserves of the aggregate product storage areas should
not exceed the average consumption for 3-5 days in a peak monthly
period. In case of limited site conditions, it may be reduced to con⁃
sumption of 1day. Cement reserves in the construction site shall be 4-
7 days times the average daily consumption of concrete pouring in a
peak month for land transportation , and 5-15 days for water trans⁃
portation. If the transit warehouse is far from the construction site, ce⁃
ment reserve may be increased by the pouring consumption of 2 - 3
days.
6 Supply of cement by a fixed manufacturer shall be planned
for, and the cement types should be 1-2 Conditions shall be created
as far as possible to utilize bulk cement.
3 3 5 Concrete transportation shall meet the following requirements:
1 Concrete transportation shall comply with the requirements of
Article 2 7 19 of this specification.
2 The concrete transportation mode should be determined ac⁃
cording to the factors of work quantity, distribution and distance of
feed site, size and condition of pouring site, etc.
3 The placement method of concrete transportation should be
chosen according to the actual conditions at the parts to be poured:
1) Vehicular trestles or belt conveyers should be employed for
foundations and lower monoliths where the pouring area is
not large and the structure simple.
2) Vehicular chutes or slipping tubes should be employed for
dam monoliths that are adjacent to river banks, and where
the topography is relatively well utilized.
3) Simple cable swinging concrete tanks should be prioritized
for sluices and dams in river channels, and arch dams in
