Department of Policies, Laws and Regulations

Main functions: draft and implement program and annual plan of water legislation; formulate laws and regulations; coordinating legislation process and give answer, explanations and records of water laws and regulations; be responsible for post-assessment of water legislations and organizing supervision and checking of implementations of water laws and regulations; direct water legislations of river basin commissions and local authorities; guide publicity and education of water-related laws and regulations; draft and implement annual plans of water policy studies; direct and supervise implementation of water licensing system and law enforcement; and handle administrative litigation, reconsideration and compensation of the ministry.
