On August 13th, 2015, Mr. Jiao Yong, Vice Minister of Water Resources and the Chinese Representative of the China-Kazakhstan Joint Committee on Utilization and Protection of Trans-border Rivers, met Mr. Shakhrat Nuyshev, the Kazakhstan Ambassador to China.

Vice Minister Jiao Yong expressed his warm welcome towards Mr. Nuyshev and stated that as the Deputy Kazakhstan Representative Mr. Nuyshev ever participated in the 11th and 12th meetings of the Joint Commission and played an important role in promoting the China and Kazakhstan cooperation in trans-border rivers. He hoped that Mr. Nuyshev could continue to support the China and Kazakhstan cooperation in trans-border rivers in the new position of the Kazakhstan Ambassador to China.

Ambassador Nuyshev said that as the new Ambassador to China he would be committed to promote the pragmatic bilateral cooperation in the field of trans-border rivers. He was fully convinced that the bilateral cooperation on trans-border rivers would inject the new vitality into the strategic partnership of two countries and establish a cooperation model for other countries in this field.

Officials from relevant departments of Ministry of Water Resources also attended this meeting.
