From May 12 to 13, 2015, the 4th high-level dialogue of the China-EU Water Resources Exchange Platform was commenced in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. More than 200 people, including water or environment ministers, high-level officials, experts, scholars and enterprise representatives from China, EU, OECD, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland and other European Union countries, attended this meeting and carried out high-level dialogues and deep exchanges on the themes of water resources and sustainable development. The meeting issued the Joint Declaration of the 2015 high-level dialogue of the China-EU Water Resources Exchange Platform and the 2015-2017 work plan of the China-EU Water Resources Exchange Platform. Mr. Chen Lei, Minister of Water Resources, attended the dialogue and made the key speech. The Chinese ambassador to Denmark Liu Biwei also attended the meeting and related activities. Minister Chen fully recognized the essential role of the China-EU Water Resources Exchange Platform, and stated that the Platform had become the important brand and outstanding highlight of the China-EU cooperation on water resources.

During the stay in Denmark, Minister Chen Lei visited the Copenhagen modern water supply plant, attended the China-Denmark dialogue on water technology exchange and cooperation, and also met officials from EU, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Finland, Sweden, Ireland and other international organizations.
